Wax

Wax is a soft, opaque cannabis concentrate produced via hydrocarbon extraction (typically butane). The wax-like consistency makes it easier to handle than oil but more pliable than shatter. Wax is dabbed on a heated nail. Modern hemp THCA wax exists but is less common than rosin or live resin in the THCA category.

Example: Wax was the dominant concentrate format before live resin took over.
