Zaza is current-generation slang for top-shelf, ultra-premium cannabis flower — the rarest, loudest exotic on the menu. It refers to a quality tier rather than a single cultivar, though a strain literally named Zaza also exists. When a friend says they have 'some za,' they mean expensive boutique flower, often $400-600/oz at regulated-market prices.

Etymology: Popularized through hip-hop lyrics in the late 2010s — notably Future and 21 Savage — 'zaza' likely evolved from earlier slang like 'loud' and 'gas.'
