aka cured-resin extract / post-cure resin
Cured resin is a cannabis concentrate extracted from flower that has been dried and cured (typically 2–6 weeks) before processing. It captures terpenes preserved during cure but lacks the volatile fresh-frozen terpenes of live resin. Common in vape carts and dabbable concentrates.
Example: This live rosin shows brighter citrus terps than the cured resin variant.
Etymology: Term emerged in the 2010s extraction-industry vocabulary alongside 'live resin' to distinguish curing methodology.
