H4CBD
aka hexahydro-cbd
H4CBD (hexahydro-cannabidiol) is a hydrogenated form of CBD that exhibits modest psychoactivity, unlike CBD itself. It is a relatively new commercial cannabinoid that gained traction in Europe after the HHC bans of 2024. H4CBD's effects are described as mild relaxation with a clearer headspace than THC.
Example: H4CBD is one of several alternative-cannabinoid candidates filling the post-HHC EU market.
Etymology: Synthesized by Mechoulam's lab in 1940 but only commercialized post-2023.
